Paliouri is located on the hills of Kassandra, 3km from the sea and 120m above sea level. It is a very beautiful, traditional village. This village dates back to the 18th century. In this area was located the ancient samll town of Theramvos or Thramvos, which was in the south eastern end of the Kassandra peninsula. We presume that it was built in the hills over Glarokavos and the cape of Chrouso. From an inscription fround in the sanctuary of Ammon Zeus, it is discovered that this area was a sanctuary of Apollo the Kanastreos.

There are also very interesting examples of popular architecture to be found in the old buildings of the village.
An extremely beautiful beach surrounded by pine trees with a natural bay with camping and beach sport facilities. A summer colony located in Kanistro-Agios Nikolaos is 6km away.
The mountain village of Agia Paraskevi is a distance of 6km.
